Bachelor of Music education, Percussion - West Chester University

Fred is a laid back teacher that focuses on a practical musicianship approach. Students will learn not only the fundamentals of music, but an appreciation for all aspects of music.

His taste includes a wide range of music and he’s constantly looking for new modern artists to listen to. Critical listening is key to his approach (fair warning: he may send you playlists on Spotify.) For Fred, music is a way for students to learn about themselves. It represents a tangible way to learn how to adapt and grow that’s unique to each student.

fred teaches virtually & In-person at the Carriage House.

Fred graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Music Education focusing on Percussion. He has performed in many groups in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area ranging from swing bands to quartets, concert bands, orchestras, and musical theater orchestras.

Fred enjoys writing music for musical theater and directing musical theater shows. He recently assistant directed a community production of SpongeBob The Musical. West Chester University awarded Fred a research grant to pursue a workshop performance of his work-in-progress musical in June of 2021.

Outside of music, Fred enjoys cooking and watching movies. He and his fiancé live in Phoenixville with their dog, Brownie.
