Ari Morgan is a well-rounded percussionist from Atlanta, GA, and a graduate of the University of Georgia. His drum corps background consists of time spent with Alliance Drum and Bugle Corps where he served on the drumline. Still, his most prominent passion is for indoor percussion and WGI sport of the arts. Ari spent multiple years playing with Atlanta Quest Independent Indoor Drumline, and notably, during this time he obtained a PIO Bronze medal in 2013 and performed in PIW Finals during the group's world-class debut year in 2014.
Other instrument standouts include the drumset, bass guitar, and piano. During his upbringing in Atlanta, Ari was a member of a few gig bands and jazz ensembles that played around the city. He performed a wide variety of genres, from Frank Sinatra to A Day to Remember, at various venues unique to the area.
Currently, Ari is the Percussion Director of Phoenixville Area High School. There he runs the indoor and outdoor percussion programs, composes and arranges show music, warm-ups, cadences, and lot tunes, and thrives to create a fun and exciting environment for his students every day. In the past, he served as a percussion instructor for multiple high schools across the Southeast, mainly in Georgia and Florida, all while teaching private lessons to those wanting to excel in drumming.
Outside of teaching and performing, Ari is a former professional sailor and all-around beach-lover. He strives to spend his time near water with his two big dogs- Jeffrey and Cooper.
